We are located inside 5th Avenue Lifestyle North Lakes on the corner of Cook Court and Flinders Parade. We are on the same street as Costco and Bunnings and opposite McDonalds. There is onsite parking which can be busy in the morning, but there is also street parking on Cook Court or multiple carparks within a 5 minute walk of the building. We are inside the main complex doors, and our reception is the only store on the left side on the corridor.

Online gift cards are available HERE. These can be emailed to either the purchaser or the recipient, and can be printed. How do I book?

The easiest way to book is online through our Timely booking link. This allows you to browse all available appointments for your treatment of choice, and bookings can be rescheduled and cancelled online. You can also book in via phone, email enquiry or by visiting us in store!

Can you perform 2 treatments at the same time?

We can perform 2 head spa services at the same time (even 3!), however our facial or body treatments can only be booked one at a time. All group bookings must be booked through the couples/group bookings section on our online booking platform

Do you cater to men/kids/non-binary?

skintuitive is an LGBTQI+ friendly space and we accept everyone as they come. Men are welcome to attend solo or with a partner, and children are welcome to most treatments. Some advanced skin treatments are unsuitable for younger children and will be advised accordingly. We ask that a guardian accompany any minor under the age of 12.

I had to cancel my appointment, where is my deposit?

As per our booking policy, deposits are not automatically refunded when an appointment is cancelled. Deposits are refunded into a file credit, which can be used towards future appointments or product purchases in store. For cancellations outside of our 48 hour cancellation window, we ask that you email us requesting for the deposit to be refunded. Please note, a service fee of $2.34 will be deducted from your deposit to cover processing fees and administrative costs. For appointments cancelled within our 48 hour window, with valid reason for cancellation, the deposit will not be refunded, but the file credit can be used in future. Late cancellation or no show to an appointment may result in your deposit being redeemed as a cancellation fee.

Head Spa

What should I do in preparation for my head spa treatment?

There is not much for you to do in advance at all! Please do not wash your hair before arriving so that we can properly assess the scalp condition. If you are getting a head spa option that includes a facial (Hydra Head Spa or Ultimate Renewal), please avoid sun exposure and cease using retinol 3 days prior to the appointment. You can also fill out your consultation forms in advance when you receive the confirmation text message.

I have coloured hair, is that okay?

Certainly! We ask you to not apply colour at least 76 hours prior to your head spa appointment, and that it has been washed at least once since the initial application. While all colours are acceptable for a head spa, please note that vibrant colours are susceptible to potential fading as the nature of hair washing entails.

I have dandruff/psoriasis/excema - can I get a scalp spa?

Definitely. Our treatments were created with these scalps in mind, and we can tailor our treatment to safely suit your level of scalp health. If there is a considerable amount of open wounds caused by scratching at the scalp, we may deny treatment in the interest of your safety.

I have hair extensions, can I get this treatment?

We love an extension girlie that is into scalp health! If you are wanting our normal scalp menu treatments, we recommend getting your extensions removed first for an intensive scalp reset and waiting 5-7 days before getting them reapplied with your hairdresser.

Skin

Which treatment is best for my skin?

It is hard to know what treatment is best for your skin without properly assessing it, but we are here to guide you on your skin health journey. The Signature Skin Spa is a great place to start as it is an entry level treatment with no prepping required and includes a consultation. No matter what treatment you choose, your therapist will provide complimentary advice and recommendations at the end of your appointment, so you can relax during your facial knowing your skin is in the best hands possible.

I am taking roaccutane/tretinoin/prescription vitamin A, can I get a treatment?

We currently do not offer any skin services that are suitable to those taking prescription Vitamin A, neither orally or topically. We can provide great recommendations for your skincare regime to help support the skin through it’s treatment, but we advise waiting at least 3 months from your last dosage before getting any skin treatment. If you are still wanting to treat yourself, our Rinse + Repeat scalp service is suitable for you!

I have sensitive skin, are your products suitable for me?

Yes, our facials are designed to be safe and effective for sensitive skin. We use O-Cosmedics, a professional skincare line known for its clean, stable, active ingredients and customizable professional treatments. O-Cosmedics products focus on supporting and strengthening the skin barrier, reducing inflammation, and soothing irritation. With key ingredients like antioxidants, peptides, and soothing botanicals, our treatments can be tailored to your skin’s unique needs, ensuring a comfortable and beneficial experience.

Why do some treatments require mandatory prepping?

Certain treatments, such as our advanced peels, require 2–4 weeks of skin prepping to ensure both safety and optimal results. This involves using products like Vitamin A and B serums, a tyrosinase inhibitor, and consistent SPF. Prepping conditions the skin to tolerate the treatment, minimizes the risk of adverse reactions, and enhances the effectiveness of the peel by creating a balanced, healthy skin environment. These steps are essential for delivering the best possible outcome while keeping your skin safe.
